Hi, Ive not had a PSP before so i'm not too up to date with whats happening so am after a little info. If I were to buy a PSP today (UK) in a shop, what version firmware is likely to be installed?

    Thanks

I have a friend in the UK who bought a PSP at Christmas with firmware 2.0

If you enjoy gaming, then a PSP is a serious buy.

Let us know if you get one!

    Regards,

Depending on where you buy it from and how long they have had stock lying around, anywhere from a 2.0 to 2.81 (and i guess now even higher).

There are a fair few online stores that sell psps that are definitely downgradable (2.80 or below), but they generally charge a premium for your peace of mind.

I suppose I'll just have to ask when I buy it. Probably best to go somewhere that might not sell as many so they are likely to have the older stock, beacause as you guessed, I want to downgrade it

    Cheers
