I succesfully modded my PSP to CFW 5.00 m33-6 by using my old battery and converting it to a pandora's battery and making my own mms which was all well and good, i then bought a new battery, however the new battery has a really low life span, it probably lasts up to an hour max and thats with the backlight on the lowest setting and all the sounds off, but it doesnt really seem to be charging for that long either, is it just because its new and needs a few good charge cycles or could it be a dodgy battery, any feedback will be appreciated, thanks guys happy hacking.

Fake battery, one charge and it would be good to go if it was real.

Agreed with Jubbabubba, it's a fake battery.

Of course it'll look like an official Sony packaging. How else are the chinese gonna make fakes?

Most fakes are 1100mAH regardless of the marking on the outside...I'm guessing you bought one of the 3600mAH batteries? NOBODY makes a legit 3600 mAH cell that's the same size of a normal one...NeoFlash made some monster batteries, but they were friggen huge - Perhaps worth it, but not if you want to fit it in your pocket...

Nothing wrong with a fake battery, as long as you didn't pay too much for it. Back in the day (before pandora), the circuitry was a straight knockoff of Sony's....I modded my first (second time, before pandora) and second (first time, after pandora) with a fake battery and a fake stick - Don't listen to those who say they don't work...They do, just not the way you'd expect and not in any manner that's worth an official pricepoint. Bottom line - You get what you pay for; However, it ain't no ripoff if you know what you're buying to begin with...
If you see me running, try to keep up.
