Now I'm not much of a modder (odd place to be then, i know) but I need help lol. Now to start, I took apart my psp to replace the UMD drive, that went pretty well. (Psp 1001 btw) The thing is, when I put it back together the d-pad (left side of the psp, right arrow button, just to make sure of no confusion) wont react. As i have found out it is stopping half way through the button press. It's catching on the frame that houses the screen. I've tried taking it apart and putting everything back together on it, nothing. Google hasnt been my friend this time around so, please, I could really use the help. I dont have many funds lol. Thank you in advance.

It's a little odd that i have to come up with an answer to my own post, but whatever works lol. (thanks for all the help guys....lol jk) Anyway, I made the control pad more easily reach the buttons by modding with packing tape and shards of box cutter metals. (had to be creative on this one lol) But hope I can be of some help in the future or something, if anything I'll just come crawling back with questions lol. Anyway, no harm done by no one answering, I would have probably passed over it not knowing what to do either. But it made me think a little more anyway....thanks for havin me I guess lol.

thanks guys. and the added bonus, the pad seems a lot firmer and more reactive.

Lol, nice job! I also used tape to give the pad a lift. I used masking tape with 3 layers and cut them in to small squares. Then I place them on the pressure points. Now I can play fighting games with ease.
