Memory Stick Problem

Hello,Im having a prblem with my memory stick it is a sony memry stick pro duo MagicGate Mark2 4gb.I switched on my psp hacked it with MhuSpped Used CFW enabler 3.60 and i was going to play a game but when i went to the memory stick option in ''Game'' and selected it it wouldnt open i waited for like 3 minutes then idk why i did it but i went ahead and put it on standby (yes i know a very stupid thing to Do)Then wen i turned it on it culdnt read the memory stick it gave me a message"This memory stick cannot be read Goto settings>system settings>Format Memory stick' but wen i go do that it says memory stick is not inserted though it is in .HELP ME!!!

power down, remove your memory stick and then reinsert it and power back on...then see what happens

all else fails:
plug into the pc, see if it recognizes it there and then right click and format it.

tried it .pc cant format it i same message again and again if i try turn off and re-insert

you probably got a fake memory card then and now it's shot...got any other card type/size that you can see if the psp recognizes that or not??

Mount it in Linux or Mac. Goto Disk Utility or a similiar program and format it. Create one partition with MBR record. It will work then.

Nope ,Guess It Too Bad Then....is there anyway to check if a mem stick is fake or real?


Mac I havent seen one for a long time now so it impossible for me to do that

it has to show on the psp though to check it...go like you're going to play a game, instead of clicking X to view the games, press triangle and select information...

magicgate supported = real
magicgate unknown = fake

i does have magic gate written on it o.o(sry im a total tech newb dont know anything about it)

yeah but you want to check it for real when inserted...the outside is pretty much irrelevant in this case.
