    Keep getting that error. I can hear the thing spinning inside and the lense is working fine, clean, and same with the disc. Not sure the ribbon cable is unplugged, but if the lense is moving, its plugged in right ?

    Firmware Installed: 5.03m33-6 PSP PHAT

    Edit is there for a reason...how long have you had the Phat and does it do it for every game you try?Have you dropped it?

    i've had it for a while, just started doing it lately. dropped it once but it still worked after that and now o_o.
    Tried a movie and a game disc so far.

    Works fine on my other modded slim psp

    Alot, but not on the UMD. i copied my discs to my memory sticks

    Hmm..well I'd say disassemble it and make sure all connections are indeed connected and if the problem still persists could be a hardware issue.

    Press "Select" in HOME and go with Down arrow at "USB Device" and change to "UMD Disc".
