My PSP-2000 is full of static with audio. I had it on 5.50 Gen D-3, and everytime I went to play a game, the audio is distorted.

I DID have audioboost.prx on, but always kept it 5 clicks below max.

I popped it up to 6.30, and reset all settings in case it was software related.

    It's still distorted.

    Are my speakers blown?

distortion of sound is usually a sign of a blown speaker.

Just a little update. I did end up blowing them. (Naughty ;-) and found a set of replacements for $5. I've taken apart a 2k before, but never paid attention to the speakers. From what I see, they are pretty easily replaceable, being in sockets instead of soldered on the mobo, right?
