Only Sony can unbrick it,explain to your parents nicely how it bricked and they might go easy on the beating.

you cant repair a bricked 3000 without changing the motherboard, you should've read about it before trying it, just tell your parents your an idiot and you've learned your lesson and start looking for a part time job, you just got a lesson in life....not being offensive, but if you tell them your an idiot, they might just think they have a stupid son and doesnt know any better and will go easy on you...im just rambling now

im not being an ass, why would anyone try this without reading about it first...and yea if he tells his parents hes an idiot and he learned his lesson, all they would want is for him to learn his lesson and probably buy another one with his money, just being honest

Folks, I think the flaming is a bit unnecessary. Yeah, maybe he absolutely FAILED to read the guides and heed warnings all over the forum but he can still play to win with his parents.

How you ask? Play dumb. Your parents don't know shit about PSPs. Show them directly what happened and act angry or upset about and it will absolutely look like it wasn't your fault. If it's still in warranty then tell Sony that you lost power during a firmware flash.

I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html

meek wasn't being mean, he's being real. i'm for the plan of telling your parents that you don't know what happened, act apologetic, and hopefully they'll get you a new one. or a used one that's more 'reliable' like a 1k. it's cheaper too. try that.

at least someone understood me...but seriously, another good idea would be to fake an accident...set it somewhere and let it accidentally fall, if ya know what i mean, and like cowboy said, talk em into a more reliable and cheaper 1000, fully hackable, those are cheap new and used
