open it back up and check those ribbons then, the little one can be tricky if you dont have tiny hands

somethings unplugged, somethings not snaped in fully something shortcircited because you touched wires screws are too loose and too tight.honestly with replacing a full housing it could be anything.but if you get a green power light but no sound or screen you may want to look into the speakers and the screen being in all the way.

another thought, you did put the right housing together for the psp right?your not one of those trying a brain scheme to put a 3000 housing on a 2k or a phat are you?many possibilities really hard to say since we caant know what you did.you could also have the wires in backwards or upside down.possible i guess.anything is really.i know thats prolly not the answers you wanted to hear but unless you can find a way for us to actually have in possession this housing project we cant physically know whats wrong just suggest

This happened to my 2000 before but its a screw touched the board and fried it. Make sure not even one thing is out of place on the board. Please post pics it would be easier to help you.

double check all those wires, that second to last pic had a wire not all the way in, looks like the ones to the dpad but if that ones loose then the others might be..nvm i see its the ones for the X and O buttons
...just lightly tug it a few times and watch if it comes out or move
edit: also on the 2 pic, is that wire not fully plugged in above the long ribbon for the monitor?....looks a lil crooked

Did you by chance rip the tab on the motherboard to the thin ribbon cable to the lcd screen. Sort looks like it. Thats the one in charge of the back lighting. Make sure it is put in properly.

Also when you turn it on does the led light up to indicate that its on.

When you turn it on does the screen light up with a black screen or is it still off with no power at all?
