0603 SMD LEDs, you can get them for cheap at unique-led.com

Just a fair warning though, they are EXTREMELY TINY.

Oh and as for the cable, get the smallest wiring you can get.

0603 LEDs are the size of the "E" in "LIBERTY" on a dime...And small-gauged Kynar wire is ideal. Magnet wire will work, but it's not the best choice...

Also, 0805 LEDs will work for *most* PSP LED mods, including the L/R Trigger Mod. They're a little bigger, and easier to solder to.

Oh yes small-guaged Kynar wire is what I was thinking about. And yes if you have shaky hands and etc, then try using 0805 SMD LEDs they are a little bigger and a little easier to solder too.

Also another thing is, don't put too much heat for too long, you can easily melt away the contact points on the LED. I suggest using a 15watt soldering iron, and putting heat no more then 2 or 3 seconds.

Also you can try using some Rosin Soldering Flux.

Get Helping-Hands, that tool is pretty much a must have for this project.

They come in a strip and it looks like a film reel. I would highly recommend just buying 30 of them. You WILL destroy some of them in your first attempts to solder them. I've found the best luck with holding them very lightly in a needlenose pliers, then using flux to tin the contacts, then soldering a pre-tinned length of kynar wire to the contacts.

I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html

I use 30 Gauge Kynar Wire, also known as "Wrapping Wire".
