Yes I do, we finished learning about circuits, and resistance and stuff in school.

Do you understand it...? Like, the first two wires that you solder to your Power Board - your LED wires are to be soldered to them (correct polarities, of course).

very nice, I will be doing this soon, Im going to wire in a little micro swtch though so I can turn the lights on or off depending on how I feel or battery charge.
^ That's how it is with the HOLD Switch.
^ I think your lying, explain
The hold switch cuts off the power of the leds. The hold switch originally cuts off the command power but with this its cutting off the leds power because its rerouted to the leds from the command board.
Yea. Correct. As long as your battery (or charger) is in the PSP, the LED's will light-up, regardless of the PSP being on/off.
what if the psp is on and I want to cut them on or off?
Don't turn them on then... It's like a light switch; only push it if you want light. This mod removes the "HOLD" function of the switch entirely.
I see now, thats what I was worried about, trying to turn them off or on and putting the psp in hold mod and all that bull
Yea, the second you cut the trace you remove the hold function. From then-on, it's an LED switch/tact switch.
will this work on the 1001? Seen it said a 1000 was used.
Yes. Any of the PSP 100x models. The last number is simply a regional thing. PSP 1000 - Japan, PSP 1001 - USA, etc.
I have sound reactive leds in my psp 100X I have a ruff idea how to. but to be sure how would I use this hold switch for them?
There's two ways to have sound-reactive LEDs. 1.) Soldering them to your speakers. 2.) soldering them to an amplifier, then solder that to a switch (typically the Wi-Fi switch). If you're using the first method, you can't wire a switch. It wouldn't work. If you want to turn off the sound-reactive LEDs, plug in some headphones to your PSP.
