Sorry in advance if this has been posted before. I've looked at multiple forums and threads, but I'm getting confused due to conflicting answers in regards to using a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick for normal gameplay. I'm going to be living at a dorm starting this fall semester, so I can't easily access things like another psp or other tools necessary to create another pandora battery or mms if mine is bricked. I don't have a spare battery or memory stick either. I just want to know what's real and what's fake so I don't screw my psp up (btw I have a psp phat cfw 5.00M33-6).
    1. Can Magic Memory Sticks be used as normal memory stick (I think someone said the only difference b/w mms and normal memory sticks is the files on the mms but it doesn't affect gameplay).
    2. But on a different thread I saw someone say using a mms as a normal memory stick will cause problems for some games. Is this true?
    3. In regards to the pandora battery I think I read something that it can be used as a normal battery but it could have charging issues and low battery life.
    4. Some thread on this site said I couldn't play games using a pandora battery, it's only used to downgrade or unbrick.
    5. On some other site it said you could use pandora for normal gameplay but need some settings changed for boot up (something like pressing up or LTRG for special start up, otherwise it will boot like normal).
    6. A different site mentioned something about ipl, some sleep ipl (because the pandora battery turns the psp off rather than sleep). I also read that it was possible to use a pandora battery using “PSP Grader” or “Multi-Grade Booster” program.
    7. I guess the main thing I want to know is: Is possible to run custom firmwares and play games normally while running a psp with a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick. And if so, what do I need to do?

Thanks for reading, and I apologize for any noob questions, I’m fairly new to this type of thing. Your response is greatly appreciated.

you can play normally with a pandora as long as the mms files are on your stick

So is that just injecting IPL files via PSPTool?

How do you add the files?
And all the files that are currently on the memorystick remain intact and good?

    edit: no problem, thank you

i used psptool to make my stick into an mms (DC8.. and also injected the time machine ipl)
    and it's all good

    cheers
