Hi, have a problem with my PSP 3000, overall it's not too big of a problem but I'd still like to find out how to fix it.

    PSP Model: 3001
    Module: 03g
    Motherboard: TA-090 v2
    OFW: 6.60
    CFW: 6.60 LME-1.8

Anyways here's the problem, my psp can change the battery with no problem when it is off or sleeping, however... it cannot charge the battery or pull power from the powercord when the PSP is turned on. PSP cannot operate when the battery is taken out. This happens whether the PSP is in OFW or CFW. Problem started since I updated my PSP from OFW 5.03 and ChickHEN.

Anyone have any idea what the problem is and how to solve it?

    Powerplug: labtop USB cord

I *think* (but I'm not 100% sure) that when the PSP is on, it will only pull power from USB if you have USB mode activated from the System menu. There is a hardware mod you can do that will allow it to charge via USB any time you have it plugged it but it requires soldering on the motherboard. If you're interested then I can link you.

I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html

If all you have is the USB plug, you have to enable USB charging via your XMB. I am assuming that you do not have the AC adapter?

PSP is unable to operate without battery in OFC or CFW. And no, fraid my AC cord broke a while ago. All I have is the USB ---> USB connection and Power plug cord.
