I know there are a million of these threads, but none of them seem to have any relevant or informed opinions about the fake adapters. Sorry in advance.

    But anyways...

So I recently took a gamble and bought a CR-5400 from ebay, hoping it would be a genuine adapter.

Unfortunately, it isn't. Ebayer wound up selling me an adapter with the square edges by the mSD inserts, despite showing a picture of the genuine one in the listing.

I'm too lazy to return it, and it was only 4 bucks so no real loss there.

Does anyone have any positive experiences using a fake CR-5400? I'm still waiting on my 16gb MicroSDHC to come in the mail, but I popped in a single 2GB card and it seems to run fine, I don't see what all the fuss is about...

I'm using a PSP 3001, by the way. And if it makes a difference, the adapter I have apparently came from a batch with "S2-0002S" printed on the back.

You can use, but seeing as a real CR5400 is only like $3-5 its not really worth the risk of ruining good memory cards. That's my opinion anyway.

If only getting a genuine onne were that easy. How many do you have to buy until you have the real deal? If you have a shop or seller in mind that is dependable for genuine adapters, please, enlighten us.

I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html

I have the same fake adaptor and I want to ask you if a 32 microSDHC card works with it. Thanks!
