    My friend is trying to get online with his PSP and has the modem number and the IP address but still cant get on what could be the problem?

    wel what kind of connection is he trying to set up? static ip or the automatic one (dhcp or summin)

    Does he have a wireless router, if so, it needs to get set to wireless B only. If he has a secure network, he will need to know the password/key.
