psp wifi max

Does anyone have this? its goes on ur computer usb thingy and u have wireless internet. this is good if u dont have a wireless router but yeah its dumb cus if ur not good with computer like me its difficult to hook it up

erm, well thats a matter of what your using it for i suppose. You cannot use the internet without a wireless router.

I suppose you could use it for a multiplayer game without the internet but if your in standing range of someone your playing with and you need an external antenna to play, try standing closer to eachother.

The wifi max connects to a computer with internet access through a usb port. The wifi max acts as a wireless access point to route network packages from a wireless device (such as the psp) through the computer's netowrk connection. So no you do not need a wireless router to use the wifimax, in fact the point of having a wifi max is as an alternative to having a wireless router.

IMO, you are better off just getting a wireless router as opposed to the wifi max since the wifi max is a pain to configure and wireless routers are so cheap now a days that you can get one for close to the same price as a wifi max.

yea, got wifi max, but the damn thing too hard to connect, got it second hand, so theres no instructions, lol, gunna bin it and just buy a wireless router, less hassle that way,

i have a wifi max and it works great. If you have quite good knowledge of networking, you can set it up.... Although i admit the instructions r crap

I don't know what you guys are talking about I've had Wifi max for a long time and never have I found the installation "Hard", although I'm a genius.

Oh, and I know how to set it up with Xlink Kai so you can play ad-hoc games like infrastructure ones. I have been doing it with Monster Hunter Freedom, it's the whole reason I really use the thing anymore. Oh and did you know that you can download stuff you have on your computer to your psp wirelessly with WiFi Max?
