Is/are there any such things as a different front end/GUI or possibly a
graphic equaliser in software form for the PSP?

    Just Curious!

    Thankyou.

With 1.5 or 2.71SE or 3.02OE or 3.03OE and using a little app called XFLASH you can change the icons, change the font, disable/enable the wave effect, debrand the intro screen(no more sony computer entertainment) and a tonne of other things I can't be bothered to write..

    XFLASH you say?

Xcellent! I certinly appreciate it...Now to go get it.

Are there any Homebrew plugins/apps out there in the form of an MP3 player
with an EQ and decent visuals? Maybe Dark Alex compatible?

Where would be the best place to look for such things?

    Thanks in advance!

3.03OE-C is not compatible with Xflash to let you know. Use PSP Filer or Do it manually.

And when you said Dark_Alex compatible that made me rofl cuz his FW is compatible with everything dude. Homebrew is homebrew and works on any firmware that is 1.5 or based on 1.5 and DA's firmware is based on 1.5 with 3.03 additions.

Those are some good homebrew sites. psp-homebrew is good for just getting started with homebrew.

Thankyou so much ! You guys are great, not only did you not flame the
noob you gave me info to go look up...Greatly appreciated!

I really want to learn to do this myself...It's hard to find peeps who actually
understand that being a noob does not mean you are a Wii-tard (if you
    know what I mean....) LOL!

I have sucessfully modded x-box (original) and PS 1- and 2 consoles on my
own but never anything this small or complicated. The complexity of the
PSP is beginning to stop wowing me so much though thanks to all the reading
    here and elsewhere.

Again...Thankyou for the patience and help!
