Ok if you dont know what a bricked psp is here is a little explination for you and how to unbrick

1.a bricked psp is when you swich on your psp BUT it does not display anything on the screen and the on light is well ON

2.a semi bricked psp is when you psp swiches on and does not show and icons just the lines

3.This is a toutorial on how to unbrick...

    lets start over

    1. got to recovery mode on your psp by.... holding the right trigger and swiching it on from scrach (holding the on button for 5 seconds +)

    2. toggle usb on recovery mode (turn usb mode on using recovery mode)

3.On your computer open your psp and go to psp then game.

4.In the game folder make a NEW FOLDER called RECOVERY
    in CAPITALS

5.in that file u should put in the DATA.DXAR (which is the file made when u are hacking the pspin the updmaker) and a file called EBOOT.PBP (which is in the Flasher folder)

    6. On the psp go to Run program at /PSP/Game/EBOOT.PBP (insted of recovering your psp which will not work if you have costom firmware it Reflashs your psp.

7.your psp should show the Dark Alex screen which says something like (you are about to flash you psp ............... press X or L or R trigger to cancel)
    press X.

8.your PSP should be reflashing it should say when its done flash sucessfull shutdown in 5 seconds restart manully or something like that in green

    9. Restart your PSP (swich it back on) and it should be unbricked

10.if you dont have the DATA.DXAR and EBOOT.PBP get it off a friends psp (if it runs homebrew or try downloading them of the net) the EBOOT.PBP should be in the update folder on your computer if you have keped it.

11.If you cant find the DATA.DXAR or EBOOT.PBP try using only the EBOOT.PBP only (which sometimes does work) if you still canted get the files i will try make them Downloadable of the INTERNET

Thank you for reading my How to unbrick a psp Thread.

    Good luck unbricking your psp
and when done make a copy of the recovery file on your computer (and dont forget to make a new DATA.DXAR file using the updmaker on your psp because it may come in handy next time you brick your psp

DONT EVER TROW AWAY A BRICKED PSP BECAUSE IT MAY BE FIXABLE

http://www.box.net/public/g3bxekosum Thats the link to the eboot.pbp file

http://4filehosting.com/file/3727/DATA-DXAR.html thats the link to the DATA.DXAR file

here are the links to the files needed dont forget to make the folder called RECOVERY (in capitals) and put the files inside this folder

Dont forget please give credit as this is not easy to figure out

thank you for this tutorial, although we have had maybe a lot of new people signing up just to write a tutorial on recovery mode and all that, which we already have...

and this is the easy installer for recovery, alot easier than your dxar stuff..

yeah i would say a full brick is when you have completelyy
    currpted the flash

their for recovery wont work either.

good thing is the app that reformatts the flash is
made by DA and not some new coder.

no other flashing apps should be reformatting the flash,
most of them target certin files only,

    just my thoughts

I may be able to type, but spelling is something I forgot to learn...

i thought it was impossible to fix a fully bricked psp because when you turn it on nothing happens and you cant go into recovery mode

    2.71 > 2.81 > 3.03 > 1.5 > 3.03 OE-C > 3.10 OE-A > 3.03 OE-C > 3.10 OE-A
    512 MB memory stick
nfs carbon, ridge racer 2,nba live 07, wrc and gta lcs

You could get a modchip installed, but you'd really be better off ebaying the brick for parts and getting a new one.
    PSP History: 2.60 > 2.71 > 1.50 > 3.02oeA > 3.02oeB > 3.03oeA > 3.03oeB > 3.03oeC > 3.10oeA > 3.10oeA' > 3.03oeC
