    There are a ton of great apps available, most of which are designed to do something completely different. Its tough to pick a "best" app when each is written for a very specific purpose.

    Canada2113 is right you need to be a little more specific...like tell us what kind of application you are looking for because there are a TON I mean you got XMB replacement shells like IRShell,Music Players,Video Player and so on..

    Best in terms of adding functionality would be the homebrew that modifies the firmware, then second best would be IRShell.

    I would say custom firmware extender v2.2 its so fun to mess with
    PSP HISTORY:
    3.80-->3.90-->Pandora-->3.71 M33-2-->3.90 M33-3-->Quit Playing For Awhile-->5.00M33-3(current)

    ofw 3.71 > pulled hair out tring to figure out cfw > modded battery > cfw 3.71 m33 > 3.80 m33-4 > 3.90 m33-3
