    Hi

    All

I need some help ripping my ps1 games to work on my psp. My problem is i cant get some games to work i am using firmware 3.80 M33-5 on a psp phat

    This is what i do:

1.) Put the ps1 disc in my cd drive and use alcohol120% to create an iso image

2.) Once created i use popstation GUI to convert it into an eboot

3.)I then put the eboot and keys.bin file's into the GAMES/Rayman2 folder on my memory stick and then load from my memory stick.

I have tryed four games using this method Golden Eye, Gran Turismo and rayman2 , prince naseem boxing . I can only get Gran Turismo to work the other games load up and then the screen turns black and stays black?

Any help would be apprecited Thanks in advance

Well it seems that you've got the process of making them down try popsloader:

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

then once installed enable the plugin and go here and look for what pops is best.

PSX on PSP Compatibility List - TheGamersPress

Then when you start the Game hold R-Trigger till a menu pops up and select the right pops.

I have ripped rayman using alcohol 120% but after it picks up the cd it olny gives a couple of options as to what format the image can be saved as It does not give me an option to save it as an ISO. So instead i save it as an MDF file. I would like to know shall i convert the e MDF file to an ISO before making it an EBOOT or shall i convert the MDF file straight to an eboot?

I have 3.90 m33-3 with popsloader and all the pops available. Very few games don't work I find, and the ones that don't, you can find out from the psx on psp compatibility list. there are many links already here in this forum, but if you just want it now, google psx on psp compatibility and its the first thing that comes up. The only game that does not work for me so far is Skull monkeys. Everything else eventually worked for me, whether by changing the pops or sometimes just changing the way the folder is named.

My point? Upgrade to 3.90 m33-3 with current pack of pops. Works like a charm for all of the games that are currently working. .
