Although the GEN update is here, it might not work. it is still advised you use m33.
UPDATE: Added user notes for 5.50 Gen. Nethost added at bottom.
Currently adding a guide for nethost.
NEW VERSION SUPPORTS 5.50 GEN
PATCH IS NEEDED FOR ISO LOADING AND STABILITY.
8/23/10:Gen patch may not be necessary as of update V5.02.
IRSHELL patch for 5.50GEN
First, if you don't have IRshell, download it hereMake sure to run ms0:/IRSHELL/PATCH/5.00/btcnfpatch.prx after installation for CFW 5.50GenD3.
UPDATED VERSION LINK.
Step1: Connect psp to pc via USB.
Step2: Go to the device manager and find PSP Type B, and click on Update Driver. then click on Update Manually. (Right click on "My Computer" and go to properties, XP: click on hardware. VISTA: its on the side bar)
Step3: Browse for the folder on the Desktop that says "driver"
(the download link is, http://irshell.org/site/index.php?op...river&Itemid=8 )
Or try this, http://www.irshell.org/site/index.ph...ostfs&Itemid=8
Step4: Now go through the instructions on the screen and the driver should be installed. If any issues like it saying "driver alreaddy up to date" then uninstall the driver then reinstall it(first unplug the psp then replug)If it tries do an automatic driver installation, cancel it, then update it with the driver given.
To Stop the driver update manually, go to task manager and end process on rundll.exe
Step5: Open the remotejoy GUI folder.
(The link is, MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service )
Different version http://www.irshell.org/site/index.ph...y4irs&Itemid=8
Step6: Run the file "Start-USBHostFS_PC.bat" That is the usbhost file.
Step7: Run IRSHELL, and find the icon "toggle usbhost", if it work, there will be an icon on the bottom of the psp screen to let you know.
Step8: Put all your PSP files in the Directory "RemotejoySDL GUI\PC\PSP"
(You will have to create the folder your self) This incudes ISOs,CSOs, and if you want, homebrew and psx EBOOTS. media types are really skippy and just not right for this.
Now the remote joy.
Run the file "Start-PSPSH.bat", Then run the file "Start-RemoteJoy-FS-FPS"
Next just run the icon "toggle usbhost" onthe psp to view the screen.
(there are other remote joy features.)
You should be set to go.
Post any problems encountered and i will try my best to help.
ONLY AS LAST RESORT. If you got display problems, download this. IRSHELL romotejoy setting files This is an irshell core files(copy and replace) with settings that should work. BRICKED 5.50 GEN 5.00 M33 should be fine with it
Note1: For remotejoy psp screen to pc..it has to be enabled
Should look like this "Display Redirect to PC vis usbhost0: Disabled"
Change to "Display Redirect to PC via usbhost0: Enabled"
Do make sure that IRSHELL has not muted the game audio on you.
That problem has been known to happen.
NOTE: if any links are down just let me know.
