yes, i have the same situation, but after that, i have tried to shut down the PSP, and then turn it on, play the UMD game for a while, then go back to the menu, try the HEN again, somehow, it works in a few tries. so, i suggest u to try more.

After all, all i can say is this HEN is not like it works every time, i would say this HEN works only about 30 % of the time.

the instability problem is not with the HEN but withe the TIFF exploit itself.

    How to get 5.03 firmware:
Download this and rename the file to EBOOT
paste it into the folder PSP/GAME and run it on your psp. NOW you got 5.03.
    HEN:
Download all files of the HEN (page 1), delete all pics out of your PICTURE folder (thats better) and paste the folder called chickHEN in it.
start your psp, go to pictures and open the folder chickHEN.
you'll see that the eggs are loading slow. first the first one, then the 2nd, 3rd, and then the tiff wich crashes your psp and reebots it (without a CLACK sound (if you got a clack sound, you failed)).
You can see Firmware: chickHEN 5.03 on system settings now.
Paste some eboots for homebrew there and play them ;D

yes, Joey, i totally agree with u on this. the instability lies within the TIFF exploit itself. i hope Davee and the other hack members can work on a much stable version, by then, we can just HEN the psp3000 in anyway.

I got the HEN to work before and later I put another folder in the MS ROOT and now it won't reboot in a homebrew enabled enviornment. Is this because of the new folder? ---EDIT--- it just took a bunch of tries but it works fine

I personally saw Davee post that theres not a lot he can do to make the TIFF exploit more stable. So guess its gonna be the same for the time being.

A workaround is not to shut down the psp once hen is loaded. just put in sleep mode. but the tradeoff here is the draining of the battery

Can someone make a topic where each person can explain his way of getting HEN to work fast ...

    My way -
    -Reset to Defaults of PSP
    -Boot PSP
    -Start Killzone Retribution DEMO
-Start Demo Level, the moment it loads immediately quit the game
    -Run to Photo\ChickHEN\slim.ttf
    -Voila -- ChickHEN mode.

The other methods seem to take almost 10-15 tries, this takes around 2-3.
