    I am not in the need to slightly upgrade my CFW on my psp 1000
    DO I need any special tools? I heard you need to downgrade than upgrade, can I upgrade to any newer CFW from my 3.71 M33-4? OR do I need to downgrade first? Thanks for any insight you guys can give me.

    go to 5.00 m33-6, its the best to use
    PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-6 Update

    rename this to 500.pbp and put it in the UPDATE folder
    PSP Downloads | 5.00 Firmware Update

    if you use the game decypter and game patcher, they will work with no problem
