I have just recently installed TVersity and was just wondering if there are any homebrews for streaming media from my computer to my PSP.

    It's so adorable!

Don't quote me on this, but if I remember correctly IRShell does something like this...I never messed much with IRShell, but I'm almost positive (as I finish typing this) that it does something like "streaming".

using irshell on the psp, and nethostfs on the pc - you store files into a folder system same as formatted memstick on the pc. then 'stream' video, game, music files to psp.

i got it to work but my video playback would cut out after some time. the music worked well enuff. games would load but i couldn't play 'em using nethostfs. so for me and my phat, there was promise it could work - but i had performance issues.

have you got a PS3? remote play feature?

there was also a homebrew called hostcore, i think which might do a similar job to that of irshell here in streaming media to psp.

finally, OP - should update to at lease 5.00M33-6, no?

do you have a ps3 that you're using with tversity?? cause if you do, just use remote play with the psp, control the ps3 just as you would normally but using the psp...bam, video streaming to the psp

edit...in case you got a ps3 and wanted to go remote play, takes literally 20 seconds to set it up with the ps3...you can use this for any help on that part, i made this for the new site:

actually tversity supports streaming vids to the psp natively but expect a speed slowdown.

I know what you mean and I do have one [PS3] I just didn't think you could use remote play for that.

Try the new vlc app. One is installed on pc but you'll have to uninstall any previous vlc player and the other in game folder on psp. Worked like a charm for me!!

i just set up remote play again on my phat 5.00m33-6, via the private network setting. i could access my playstation media server libraries using remote play on the psp - via PS3...

just wondering if there are psn access issues when trying to use remote play via internet (using cfw)? got psnlover...

nope, no issues...the only thing is though, you have to leave your ps3 turned on and set it up for remote access in Network...then you can log on just fine via internet connection. i've tried it, worked but i did it from my job which is 3.2 miles from home, although it worked it did cause some lag with my videos.
