I don't know if homeberew games are bad...but emulators would be the next target proably.

simple economics.
games dont sell because you can get them on iso by being on 1.5

it's against their business model.

and i think the only reason that sony had any legal case against them is the bit in the back of the manual that says that youre not allowed to reverse engeneer any of the software or hardware.

saying that, i'd expect the modchip to be next.

FUCK! Damnit that really blows! OMG i can't beleive im saying this, but i feel bad for the 1.5'ers out there. AND THE DEV HOOK GUYS! This is terrible

Hopefully Sony couldn't get any money or fine the makers, cause if they couldn't then we could just constantly have people make devhooks. Or the devhook makers could hide from Sony the program, and have somebody else publish it. And im just about to hopefully get my 1.5 PSP

I have to disagree. Sony never pressed charges on modchips for the PS2 or PS1 (if there were any).

This is like a punishment, ya had to see it coming, but you just wanted to defy it...

Why? Most if not all the smart ones have it by now. Whats the big deal, were emulating 2.71 and no umds have been released so it is a must to upgrade to 2.71. So were safe for a while. No big deal.

those consoles made sony money
their profit margins are razor thin compared to the ps1/2 with the psp
