Prometheus?

Hey just wondering what is the point of prometheus? Also how do I install it, do I use chick-hen? I have no idea wtf im doing.

- the point of prometheus is that you dont need to patch the newer games that require OFW 5.50+ to be played.
- If you want to install it.... well... thats another story. First we need to know what kind of psp you have (fat, 2000, 3000), if you are already in cfw, etc. We need more info.

Its a fat psp, has firmware 3.71. Is prometheus actually its own cfw or do you need a cfw and then patch is with prometheus?

it's a patch for only: 5.00m33-6/5.50GenD/5.03GenC

there's no procedure marked up in the thread or any real solid information to follow in it either...

go to the guide in my sig, then follow the link at the very top to install chickhen, once installed run hellcats to fully install cfw...then prome-3 patch your cfw, i have them in my guide in Section VII

Okay thanks but cant I just upgrade my firmware to 5.03, then install chick hen and then install prometheus? I don't have pandora battery or magic memory card and would prefer not to buy/make one if possible.

pormetheus is just a patch for m33-6 or gen d3 update to 5.03 ofw run chickenhen then run hellcats recovery flasher to install full cfw then use the pro patch bro

no, chickhen works up to 5.03, you would need a pandora and mms, the pandora can be bought for $6 on dealextreme.com, and you can make the mms yourself

his psp is fully hackable but like the pinktaco above me said you would need a pandora battery and mms but you dont need to buy one you can use you psp1000 and hellcats to softmod your battery to hack his psp then when done use hellcat to revert you battery back to normal . dont get me wrong its nice to have a pb and they are 6 bucks
