PSCRYPTER v2.0 w/ source - Homebrew Applications - PSP - QuickJump Downloads
The Masterkey for the PSP was cracked awhile ago, here's a way for you to sign any eboot.pbp based homebrew (no .prx support just yet). The instructions are simple, all you need is a cfw PSP and then run the homebrew. Simple.

Oh wow, so this won't work for plugins yet right?
no prx support yet.

this is the beginning and theres still too much to be done. unless we can make OFW have flash access, the ability to use custom themes from the flash, and be able to run self converted PSX and EVERY game be perfect on whatever pops used on that firmware, CFW is still and always will be the best.

He means "we" as a modding community. Not just him or this site. We, as in those who mod/develop for our PSPs.
Also, someone mentioned that CFW is still useful until we have flash access in OFW. Well...isn't that what CFW is? I'd rather have official firmware anyways. They usually give more features.

CFW is basically a completely open platform with some pluses like Flash access and PRX support (as well as ISO loading), using homebrew we can access the flash see IRShell, PSPFiler, and there are a variety of ISO loaders in development, all that's left is for plugin support. I foresee the development of this rather than a new CFW because the last big CFW devs (GEN) ran off to bugger with their mothers. Anyway that's just my thought.

ya an iso loader, sureee. id rather load an iso directly, more likely to be way more stable.

So the PSP scene has finally come full circle back to Devhook? lol, just lol.
Here is a breakdown of what signing really is.
"signing" is not signing - PSP Slim Hacks - PSP Forums

That guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm on xda-developers and I modify Android. This goes for any system that uses signed files. All signing files does is create a file called a manifest inside of whatever you're signing (ie a ZIP or PBP). In other words, it creates a list of files that the PSP/Phone/whatever is using it will read to make sure everything is intact. If there are any changes or if anything is broken or missing, the file won't be flashed or used. That guy has no idea what he was talking about. If it was as easy as swapping files, the manifest would be useless and so would signing anything.

I was going to say, that guy is wrong, and has no clue what he's talking about.
