Can somebody confirm me if this homebrew allows playing .avi movies in the PSP with out converting them into mp4?

Description :
PMPlayer Advance is a multimedia player that allows you to read formats that are still impossible to read natively from the original video player on the PSP.
What you it was new in this version:
-Compatibility with 6.xx and 6.60
-Compatibility with subtitle ssa, ass, sub, srt.
The subtitle file must be in the same directory with a movie file, and have the same base name, eg "xxxx.mp4 and xxxx.srt"
control the subtitles:

: Enable / disable subtitles.

: Choose the color of subtitles next police.
Installation:
Download subtitle pmplayer 3.1.5-fix
-Connect your PSP to your computer via USB.
-Take your PSP in "USB mode" with the option "USB Connection".
-Right-click on the file you downloaded.
-Choose "Extract files ...", (WinRAR is recommended)
-Choose the folder (APP-FW-6.60-fix-subtitle) or (PPA-fw-6.xx-subtitle.fix)
, and copy the folder game
