Ok its basically the same as gameboot installs but still, most noobs would install a gameboot then ask how to install coldboots.
WARNING! You can brick your psp doing this! I take no responsibility if you brick your psp nor do the site this is posted on Always backup your flash0 and NEVER edit any other file in there, only if you know what your doing
This will may work in ChickHEN with CFWE. I managed to change a coldboot in ChickHEN and PSPFiler 6.0. Otherwise, i don't really know, others may confirm that if they wish
As Geek asked, a link to some coldboots
PSP Coldboots Some are in .vag format.
Download RCO Editor:
RCO Editor 1.15c Then open your opening_plugin.rco with it and replace the .vag file in it with your new one. If you dont wanna do that, theres some:
More PSP Coldboots
If your in Vista, to see some of the files in the flash0 you will need to enable 'Show Hidden System Files' and/or 'Show Hidden Files'.
What you need:
PSP with compatible CFW
USB cable
PC
Custom coldboot
1. Turn on the psp holding R, now your in recovery.
2. Go to 'Advanced', toggle flash0 with your usb plugged in.
3. On your pc, go to 'My Computer' (or what ever it is on your OS) then you should see some folders, go to 'vsh' then 'resource'.
4. On your pc again go to where you saved your custom coldboot then copy it into the 'resource' folder on the psp, it should come up with a pop-up asking you if you want to overwrite, click yes.
Make sure its called opening_plugin.rco
5. On the psp exit recovery and if it's not bricked, test it by exiting recovery or rebooting. if it works, congratz, you installed a custom coldboot, now you can charge your friends to install coldboots!
The TEXT part of a coldboot(opening_plugin.rco) goes in resource and the sound(opening_plugin.prx) goes in module.
Note that the module folder is most likely hidden.
