thanx jsh for making that a hole hell lota easier. but i got confused when u said the computer autodetects the psp, it did that. then u said go to it and find a file, .......go to what? sry if this questions isnt in ur convienicence...im new

ah i might have been a bit fast on that bit, it will show up under my computer & in explorer as Removable Media (X: ) where the X represents a drive-letter assigned by your computer (for example e: if you have one harddiskdrive at c: and one cd/dvd-player at d: )

not working with anysepcifc program, but i want to know if i need the middle man (kexploit) to get a snes emulator onto my psp. I have a mac, and the only mac compatible program out that i know if requires the new version of macintosh, which i dont have.
So, can i like create a certain folder and drag to stuff?
Anyone know of any mac programs like kexploit? I've got OS 10.2.8, but post all suggestions.

almost all new releses of any homebrew is released with both 1.0 and 1.5 eboots, so look in the archive and select the files that fits your firmware!

huh? Lmao, so are u saying that i pretty much just search for the specific files thats i need (the ones for 1.5, will those be noticable??), and then drag em onto the psp folder? Where do i put em in the psp folders?
If its this easy, what is kxploit for?

since i only own a 1.0 psp im no expert on 1.5's but im guessing that the developers pre-make them with kxploit so that you lazy users can get right to it..

Yeah, kxploit is mainly for if you write your own programs, you really don't need it unless you find some game that's only in 1.0 format and need to change it to 1.5. But yep, pretty much you won't need it.

Well, the PC one your talking about is bochs, you can get it at www.pspupdates.com

hi guys...im a super newbie...haven even got my psp yet but im lookin arnd and i saw the white one which has a version 2 on it n i shant ask if it can b hacked cuz i've read the faq n i no it aint hacked YET...
the kickass faq i read states clearly on how to run emu for games from other systems like the NES and gameboy
my qn is: how abt runnin psp games from the mem stick itself? like Winning Eleven 9? is there any faq i can read? im sorry if this is a redundant qn cuz im totally new here...

if you are looking for a faq for running iso games of your memstick this is the wrong place yes
there is no direct faq on this site.. do some searching here and on google and im sure you'll find what you're looking for

For those of you who continue to ask about emulators on version 1.51 or higher, you CANNOT use them on those versions... BUT, if you go to PSPupdates.com and download the PSP 2.0 upgrade, and install it (DO NOT UPGRADE FROM SONY'S WEBSITE BECAUSE THE ONLY VERSION THEY HAVE NOW IS VER2.5 AND THERE IS NO KNOWN DOWNGRADE OR HOMEBREW FOR THIS VERSION), there is a site where you can download and install a downgrader that will downgrade from ver2.0 to ver1.5 with a good step by step tutorial (www.hackaday.com) just do a search on that site for the psp downgrader tutorial. Keep in mind there was a trojan virus relased with some of the download sites for the downgrader that will brick your psp but I used the second link on that tutorial for the downgrader and the only link they have for the 1.5 EBOOT upgrade (because the downgrader makes your psp think it is ver1.0 but it isn't) and I successfully downgraded my PSP from 2.0 to 1.5! I never even got the chance to mess around with emulators till now and I'm having a blast. I only wanted ver2.0 for the browser but there are now hacks for using a browser on ver1.5...they aren't the prettiest or fastest, but they exist...
