Ok, After Reading a long while and fiddleing with my own PSP, heres where my Problem comes up. Now Dont attack at First sight... I did read your FAQ And i do have questions that might have been answered, But i skimed the last 9 pages and really didnt see anything pretaining to my question... Here we go!

Version 2.00
I went to Fanjita's site and downloaded the program that instails itself for Homebrew useage,(it was some form of ebooter) I also downloaded NESTERJ and put that in the Game folder, I had a ROM of "a boy and his blob" since i own a real copy for my nintendo system... I tryed so many ways to get it to work... then i started to ask myself, Is Version 2.00 Compatable only with homebrew and not emulation? If so im really disapointed... If it is compatable, Then im a retard and need help figureing it out... Thats basicly my question... Also, i Assume "bricking" your psp means, makeing it not work anymore Via a virus? Cuz if thats my only option... then I will just have to pass on the whole downgrade...

Bricking in indeed making your psp not work anymore. You should be able to run both homebrew and emulators on 2.0. According to fanjita's site, NesterJ works on the 2.0.

What version of the loader are you using? There is a loader that works through the tiff exploit, in which case you will need the file overflow.tiff saved in a folder under photos, and there is a loader that works through the GTA save game, in which case you need GTA.

EDIT: With 2.00 I would recommend using the tiff exlpoit loader instead of the GTA loader... here is a link to the loader and instructions on how to use it.

Ok, I got the Version you posted and Got it working on my PSP, Now heres the part where im a newb. I Downloaded NesterJ and Stuck it in the game folder, Extracted it there, And now im kinda at an Impass, when I run the Eboot loaded is it supposed to show the emulator? Or am I doing something wrong? Im still really confused, But thanks for your help so far. its a step in the right direction. Also to get the Emulator to show do i need a rom? If So, i have quite a few, Since i own the Real carts From years back.

you dont need roms for the eboot to work, but you wont find links to them here
please just go and read something and come back when everytrhings straight in your mind.

updated the FAQ with most recent releases of the most popular emulators, also added N64 as it will become more and more playable. changed some text and such, just to let people know that im still updating this faq (last update was 23 of may 2006)

Nice, thanks for keeping this sticky current... i know some stickies (Tripods - what firmware does what thread for example) are horribly outdated and provide misleading info. Thanks again for staying on top with this thread

ok, i got a psp today and the version is 2.6. I tried the instructions in this thread along w/ the files from this thread, along w/ the auto-installer from the fanjita.org website and I cannot get this to work. When GTA loads up it goes to my most recent save (not the eLoader). so I load the eloader save and after selecting to discard the previous data the psp loads up the save and returns to GTA..... what am I doing wrong?

Well since my problem isn't worthy of a new thread, I'm going to post it here.

I want to play a gbc emulator so I decided to pick Homer's Rin v3.2. I've setted it up properly with KXploit and all but when I play it, no sound comes out. THe gameplay works fine but the sound is just not playing. It worked however when I had a v2.01 and playing homebrew via the GTA E-Loader so what's up?!

i keep hopeing there will be one for 2.7 . what i rilly want is a n64 with a goldeneye rom and a perficed dark rom that would be awsome
