Why do people insist on using XviD? You'd still have to re-encode to PMP. H.264 can give you better quality at the same bitrate and you don't have to bother with the weird /MP_ROOT/100ANV01 folder and file naming structure anymore.

So far the best software I've tryed is Sothink, It gives you the chance to add subtitles and you don't have that sync problem with the video and audio, at least I haven't noticed it.

I have followed everything here step-by-step but cannot get converted movies to play!

When i convert a movie, just as in the instructions here, it comes out with a file name like VTS_01_1.XviD.avi Would this mean it is an .avi??

Using psplayermt i can get mp4's to play tho. Just not the ones i converted using winmenc.

What happens is it gets to the stage of 'waiting for video to be initialized. ###' the number will reach anywhere between 200-600 and just stop, then the PSP turns off!!

What is happening?
