PSP 1003 on OFW 6.31 - Stuck getting CFW?

Hi guys,

I have just bought a psp 1003 from a friend and he had it on version 6.31 OFW, I want to install CFW on it to run backed up games and emulators. Im struggling to find a good guide anywhere on how to install the CFW, some say I need a pandora battery, some say a magic memory stick? I was just wondering if anyone here could give me some guidance on what to do and how to avoid bricking?

Update to 6.60 and once thats done, use this:6.60ME-1.6 (OFW Version) - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP Forum, Hack PSP, PSV Hacks, PS Vita Hack, PSVita, your going to place the "me_installer" folder into your "GAME" folder on your memory stick and run it from your PSP. Follow any on screen instructions and once it re-boots, you'll be on 6.60ME-1.6

Thank you for your quick reply, will this CFW allow me to run backed up games(.ISOs) and other homebrew software?

But it will only play them if you actually own the game. (<-- Lies, but pirating isn't acceptable around here, so don't do it, or if you do, don't ask for help with it.

Thanks for the help, all of the ISOs I want to run are freeware, homebrew ISOs. I have got the CFW working on my psp but I am still unsure of how to launch the ISOs, do I need a loader or something?

hi i am new to this hacking scene i have a psp 1003 that was on 6.60 OFW just downloaded the file above and the instructions and its on my psp i opened it and now im on 6.60 ME-1.6 now how do i download games
