    Hey guys,

    I bought a PSP 3003-PB off my friend a few weeks ago and am interested in hacking it, however my friend updated the firmware to 6.60 and I want to be able to use 6.20 Pro with the permanent patch. The problem is, I obviously need to downgrade which I believe is possible on PSP-3000's right? However, the catch being you can't downgrade below the PSP's original firmware...Which is where the problem lies since I have no idea what firmware originally came with the PSP 3003 and even then I'm not sure what software to use to downgrade it?

    Any assistance would be largely appreciated, thank you!

    Edit;

    ^ Anyone have experience with that downgrader? Could I use this safely to downgrade from 6.60 to 6.20?

    that could be easy by getting PSPident. extract and and put it into ms0:/PSP/GAME and run it on your psp's xmb. it will show everything there, including model, psp mobo, etc.

    Hey, I tried PSPident but it wouldn't run (data corrupted), apparently it only runs on CFW? However I did find PSP Module Checker and ran the OFW version and it told me my PSP's module is 03g.

    Is that any help guys?

    you can confirm that jumping back down 6.20 is possible by checking this thread The ultimate psp guide.

    the downgrader tutorial is on my signature. just follow instructions.

    According to that thread;

    PSP 300X with 03G Module:
    - Downgrading to OFW 5.00 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 5.01 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 5.02 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 5.03 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 5.51 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 6.00 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 6.10 Possible.
    - Downgrading to OFW 6.20 Possible
    - Downgrading to OFW 6.39 Possible

    Out of these possible OFW's, which would be my best CFW choice? (As in Pro or chickHEN or whatever..)
    Also, say I bought FFIX off the PSN UK Store and I downgrade to 6.20 for example and install CFW, will I still be able to log into my account correctly and play FFIX for example without problems? Sounds like a stupid question but you got to be sure!

    Thanks for the help so far guys!
