The select button does not work on my PSP. I currently have a high capacity battery that I bought as a Pandora battery that I would like to turn into a regular battery... I have my regular old PSP battery that I was going to change into a Pandora battery.

    BUT

My select doesnt work. So... HOW DO I GET INTO VSH? Thank you in advance for any help given.

Turn your PSP off completely and then turn it back on while holding R button until the recovery screen comes up. Scroll down to "Plugins" and there you go? I would suggest having that button fixed.

If Plugins isn't there, which it should be, then I guess you can't access it...

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes, or should I?

If your only wanting the VSH menu to change the battery from pandora to normal you can do that in the Recovery menu, First turn the PSP completely off and the boot up while holding R. There should be an option somewhere in there to change it.
In an Ideal world I would have all ten fingers on my left hand and my right hand would just be used for punching.

There is no option in the recovery menu, and there is no way to activate it via 'plugins' except to activate whether it is able to be accessed from the xmb or not. Any other suggestions?

Is there something I can downgrade to that uses a different button?

Is there a program I can run on my PSP to do what I want with my battery?

Will Hellcats turn a Pandora battery into a regular battery?

That is what I'm trying to accomplish. The Pandora battery I bought is a 2200 maH Sony replacement. The regular PSP battery is the original 1800 maH. I want to use the 2200 maH Pandora battery as my regular battery.

My PSP is an original PSP-1000. Bought it new 3 months after it was available.
