I'm a noob to all this. I've rummaged through these forums, I've went to numerous youtube posts, nada.

I recently went through the steps to mod this joker. It's an old PSP 1000 and I somehow managed to put 3.71 (M33-2) on there.

Well I go to load games, and I get this (80020148) error. I went to several youtube posts, and made corrections they listed (such as changing the kernal to 1.5, and changing the umd mode). Well it let one game play, but not the others.

I'm trying to discern if I have bad iso's? Or is there something else I'm doing wrong. I've only gotten one of 6 games to play.

    Any ideas?

Ok, I found the sticky. Now serious noob question. When updating firmware, do I have to use the Pandora battery? Or can I just usb it to a folder, then do it when I power on/right trigger?

no you dont. go here FaustNero and get to utility zone and grab the hellcat's recovery flasher. extract and copy the "recovery" folder in to file dir ms0:/PSP/GAME and run it on your psp. select target cfw to 5.00 then reflash. then you can go up to 6.60 and have a cfw installed. either PRO or ME

Cool, that worked. I loaded 6.60 successfully. Now new problem. I load games, I go to the memory card. It shows (size wise) the games are on there. When I connect via USB, I see them there. When I go to Games > Mem Stick (on the PSP) it says "There are no games. Content can be downloaded..."

I put the isos in the game folder, just like I did before. With this v 6 should I put it in a different folder or something?

first, the ISO/CSO back ups don't go in the GAME folder. Make a folder at the root of your ms and name it "ISO", put the back ups there. second, do you have a cfw installed?

I've seen someone post this with no reply. Is there one THE homebrew to get? Like the one everyone must (or should) have? Or is it just pretty much a preference type thing?

it's more like of must when it comes to your prefered usage of your psp. for ie, you only use your psp for ps1/psx games, then you must have a popsloader plugin + the popsloader.txt in your seplugins folder. or say you want to make a walktrhough on certain games on the psp which requires visual representation of the said title, you might prefer having a screenshot plugin and whatnot that might help whatever you pleases to do with it.
