Help request for CWF on my PSP

Greetings guys,

I am a proud owner of a PSP 1004 which has the OFW 3.95. My ultimate goal on this device is to be able to run back up iso games, through Prometheus iso loader or another one of the same sort.

After roaming a lot on the foruns I realized that I need to update my firmware to the 6.60 and then install the CFW of the same version (i believe it is 6.60ME-1.6)

Is this the solution for my goal? And if it is how should i do it? Upgrade through wifi the latest OFW and then install the CFW or if i do this i won't be able to do so?

you can try upgrading through your system update menu in the psp's xmb. then grab the cfw off the site's download section.
