1st and foremost, hello, new to these here parts...

2nd i apologize if its a painfully obvious fix to some of you out there, i am still very new to the wide world of CFW and the splendor that goes with it.

    Now, down to business:

I'm running the wider is better Phat 1001.
I had updated it to the 6.60 OFW before taking a stab at CFW.
I am now using CFW 6.60 PRO-B9 and have Picodrive for Sega and use PSX2PSP for PS1.

I was ecstatic to get SotN running on my PSP but soon swapped it out for other games.
I wanted to play it again, so freed up a lil room, loaded it on my mem stick, aaaaaand.....

    corrupt data....?

Nothing has changed since taking it off the 1st time, hard/soft wear wise...
I have try'd reDL'ing the file, reconverting the file, using GAME150 folder, or even the many random GAME#.## folder.
I am at a loss, any help would be much appreciated.

[[[Also theme help, but that's a later story if corrupt data gets taken care of]]]
**(((I've seamed to figure out the theme CTF problem)))**

    Thank you for your time

I know the game works , I have it on my 6.20 PRO B-10 PSP 3000 . Gotta be something simple like where you are putting it , name of folder too long , etc.

I am happy yours is working for you.

I have however gone over a few pages of forums not only here.

What you said, JamppCobal, was a issue with someone, and I've since checked it out. Just in case, but was not the case.

I've even gone as far as backing up the Mcard and reformatting it. All folder names are as they should be.

However, in the sense that I'm the one asking for help I'll list any info needed to clarify/remedy the situation

the root of the Mcard looks as follows:

    CXMB
    ISO
    MP_ROOT
    MUSIC
    PICTURE
    PSP
    SEPLUGINS
    VIDEO
    MEMSTICK.IND
    MSTK_PRO.IND

    COMMON
    RSSCH
    THEME [FIGURED THIS OUT BTW]
    GAME
    SAVEDATA
    SYSTEM

    GAME>
    Resident Evil 3 - Nemesis
    Persona - Revelations Series
    Marvel vs. Capcom
    Final Fantasy VII [Disk1of3]
    Diablo

Dude , don't take it personally . I meant no offense . Just that most errors are caused by not being the right folder or the folder names are too long .
If you are ripping the disc correctly , converting it properly with the correct number and placing it in the correct folder , it should work .
If you find a cause\cure for this I would be interested in it also .

    heh.... heh hehe....

was very simple.... however is still confusing.

i stated that i was, in fact able to play SotN before getting more games. it was the 1st game i put on there.

however it stopped working when placed it back on to the Mcard.....

    heh... simple....

The longest folder name that it can be is 30 [give/take 1or2]
Castelvainia - Symphony of the night [yes spelled wrong, im tired, sry] is a few over that line

you, in fact were right, JamppCobal, the folder name was too long. i shortened it to SotN and it is no longer corrupt, but im currious as to why it worked the 1st time. i did no name moddification to it....

(shrugs) i got my game working again *^.^*

    thank you JamppCobal

indeed. i got to figure out THEME's and the corrupt game data problem in one night.... good night!

in closing, for those that follow, or need the RND bit of info....

Game Folder names should be 30 characters or less to help prevent corrupt data.

    yay. im a helper

On earlier CFW's some games required that you change the Disc ID in order for them to work . But with PRO that is pretty much a thing of the past. Just use the original Game ID and you should be fine in most cases . If you find a game that doesn't work , by all means experiment .
Search for " PSX on PSP Compatablilty " in google . I think the web site is down , but it should download a PDF file .
