So I've got a psp 2001 and my goal is to download cfw and then download emulators. I'm a bit confused as to what I'd put on my psp and if I need to create a mms and pb. (also: what's the advantages to creating them?) I'm pretty sure my psp is fully hackable but I'd like to be sure as well before I do anything.

    psp 2001, ofw 5.55, serial # HU150 / AB021

I'm sorry I'm such a noob, but I'd really appreciate if someone could possibly direct me step-by-step since I've done quite a bit of research but I still don't really understand (and don't want to brick my system.)

    Thank you for your time!

hello and welcome to this forum. in your case you don't need to make both pan and mms. you just need to update it through system update on your psp's xmb menu. (6.60 is the latest). for the cfw, you can go to my blogspot site, FaustNero and go to firmwall.

Ahhh thank you so so sooo much! I got it working perfectly. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be! I think all the guides I had been looking at were out-dated so it confused me. Thank you very much!
