08-19-2012, 10:25 AM hi guys, i have a pal psp 1000 running 3.40 OE-A and i am wanting to upgrade to the latest firmware but i am unsure how to do this. can someone please help. thanks

With this tutorial I will show you how to update your 3.XX OE CFW to a new 6.60 ME CFW.
If you run a OFW updater on the 3.XX OE CFW it will give you an (DADADADA) Error. At first you have to update to the 3.71 M33 CFW, and from it you are able to update to 6.60 ME CFW.
At first you have to download this archive, which you put on the PSPs memory stick.
Now you run the 3.52 M33 Updater and install the 3.52 M33-1.
Next you run the revision update 3.52 M33-4 which updates the 3.52 M33-1 to 3.52 M33-4. Now you shutdown the PSP, keep pressed the R trigger which opens the Recovery Menu. Inside the Recovery menu you change the kernel from 1.50 to 3.52 (configurations -> Homebrew Kernel).
Now you install the 3.71 M33 CFW, which has the title PSP Updater ver. 3.71.
After installing the 3.71 M33, you are able to install the 6.60 OFW which is needed for the 6.60 ME {OFW installer}.

08-20-2012, 07:24 PM hi thanks for that, so which file on my mem stick do i put these files and its the latest cfw for psp1000 i am wanting. p.s long number on the bottom of my psp ends in psp1006 will this still work. thanks

08-21-2012, 07:12 PM The M33 Update4 and M33UPDATE_352 go into your GAME150 folder on your memory stick. Run the M33UPDATE_352 first from your PSP and once thats done, run the M33 Update4 next.
Once you have completed this, place the other folder named UPDATE into your GAME folder on your memory stick. Now shutdown the PSP, boot into recovery and change the kernel from 1.50 to 3.52. Exit recovery and then run the 3.71m33 update from your PSP
08-22-2012, 07:15 PM did this and worked fine then tried the 3.71 update and it didnt work came up with an error and now screen is black and green light is on
