You dont need a PC to install "Lite" CFW everytime, just install it once on your memory card and thats it. You would just run the "launcher" for LME or the "fast recovery" for PRO to re-activate the "Lite" CFW

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been doing some looking around on forums and it seems the 3000s can only have a 'lite' CFM which means every time you power it off you have to install the CFM again ? I'm assuming you have to hook it up to a PC every time then ? If that's the case I'll def start looking at the 2000s instead. Also, does this go for ALL the versions of the 3000 series ? Because I was reading that some have different motherboards and such..
I did want to get a 3000 version because supposedly the screen is alot better for playing outdoors(less reflections), better contrast levels, more colors (don't know if this matters when playing nes/sega gen/snes games) A friend of mine told me that there's something you can get that goes over the screen which is good for playing outdoors though.
And, I shouldn't worry about what software update is installed on it because I can always update to the newest version (6.60) and then install a CFM from there ?
Just trying to get my facts straight before pulling the trigger on something. Just looking to play old games really, if that matters.

Yep, dont worry about the firmware

Some of the ones I have my eyes on don't look like they come with any memory cards. What size/type would you recommend getting ?
