Default PSP is educational...(?)

I found this bizarre little post over at Kotaku about PSPs and PS2s being used in classrooms.

Quote:
Richard Owen, from Maplesden Noakes school, which tested the use of PSPs in several different classes, said the experiment had been very positive. Owen said that teachers found that students benefited from being able to work at their own pace--for example, being able to rewind an audio file and listen again to ensure they didn't miss anything, or to view a video several times.
It doesn't make much sense to me, but whatever.

y have a psp when u can use a portable dvd player? if the only use is watching movies. The psp can also be a graphing calculator though. Teachers would have a tough time learning how to use...never will happen nationally.

Just to let you know Auburn, Mods have to approve posts in this section. No penalty for the DP, man, especially since you didn't know that I have to approve posts

just buy a cheap data projector and computer and you can play movies and audio for everyone.
why make every kid buy a psp. class rooms are like 20-30 students, thats a lot of cash spend to provide psps.
