Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core English Patch

Heres a patch to make Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core English (only The menus) of course the characters will still speak in Japanese so.

This tutorial is brought to u by darenm on another forum
(I will not specify which forum)

1) Download the Mentrans File: Download Here
2) Extract it
3) Download the ppf-o-matic File: Download Here
4) Extract It
4) Run the ppf-o-matic3.exe
5) select the mentrans.ppf and your FF7 ISO or CSO file
6) APPLY Patch and your DONE!
7) Move your Backup Patched CSO/ISO into your MS ISO folder and PLAY!

Heh... good job. I am quite satisfy without the patch but it will help with those that can't read Japanese. Also they say someone is acutally making a full translation patch. I dunno when it is gonan come up but I will hook you guys when it does come out.

Hey all, I'm new around here and I tried to apply this patch to my .cso file and it just spat back an error. Is anyone else having this problem?

Im not 100% sure what this ill translate will it change the names of all the materia and items ect ?

Yeah I really hope that the guy can really make a full Translation Patch. Problem is that the game is heavily encrypted making it really hard to make a patch. I mean so far one Chinese team was able to make a full patch however, during the game it would freeze up and render the game useless. So either, we will have to wait for the guy to make a translation patch or buy the American release game.

However there will be bigger problems with the American release games. For one, it is an nortorius fact that many translated games have some scene cutted. This might be true for Crisis Core. Another thing is that the dub for it will be horrible. I mean unless SE keeps the orginal japanese dubs but put English subtitle, it will be pretty horrible (ie. Disgaea. If you played, you will know). So you guys are presented with 2 choices. Wait for an full translation patch or the English game.

If I were you and you guys are patient enough, I will really wait for the full translation patch. Even though i stated that SE games are really hard to decrpyted and even if hackers unleash a full "brute force" attack on the encrpytion, it might really take time. Thing is games have been able to be decrypted and full translation patches have been made. However the choice is up to you.

well the english language is never bad for ff games, they still get the point through and have good voice acting

I dont get it, i have a cso ff7 and i have the patch file. ive done what is instructed but i still jet a jap version i think the patch does not work
