try the catb50 v4 w/c 3.90 m33-3 is available, also 3.80 m33.
i recommend 3.90 m33, its stable.
back up your "flash0", thats mandatory.
downgrader? yes there is, its called pandoras battery.
pandoras battery are compose of magic memory stick and jigkick battery, which i think that you have now. it upgrade, downgrade and even unbrick a bricked psp.

Steven's Magic Memory Stick Creator v1.0 Release
I'm so confused... All I really want to do is use SNES9X-TYL, I just want to play Super Nintendo...
I had PSP V2.Something, and it didn't work, so I update to 5.03... I now realize that was probably the worst idea I've ever had...
So now I am here, trying to downgrade, I downloaded Cat's program, but then kept reading and realize I still need a "Pandora's Battery"...
1. What the hell is a Pandora's Battery?
2. Is it at all possible to downgrade without one?
Sorry for the stupid questions, I know I'm a n00b, but we all have to start somewhere, right?
Thanks. |

Bump.
Make a new thread next time
1)pandora battery allows your psp to enter service mode giving direct access to internal flash
2)NO unless you have a phat with 3.50 or lower. |

I have a question. I recently downgraded my 5.00M33 to 3.80 using "Stevens Magic Memory Stick Creator 1.0" andnow I have a problem. After I install 3.80 it shuts down after install like it should, but when I turn it back on it propts me to install again. how do I get my psp to boot normal? |
