Sony Magazine cites 'PSP-style phone' in development?

If you've taken a look at the latest issue of Sony Magazine, you might have noticed a little clause under one of the articles that might have sparked your interest.

SEfanatics noted that the article mentioned a "PSP-style phone" which is currently in development, and thus resurfacing the rumors of a video game platform and mobile phone combination once again. It was also mentioned in the article that the device could be "in shops as early as February".

While this rumor isn't exactly new, it does help that the source is slightly closer to the mark with its connection to Sony than the previous instances that the PSP Phone was supposedly sighted.

Might this finally mean the arrival of the fabled PSP Phone that's been the talk of the town last year? Who knows.

If it did come out it would be amazing - after calling someone, you slide it open and up pos the d-pad and away you go with the ISO's/homebrew etc

the psp 3 is more of a dual phone/psp maybe? Remember the code with the hint of the psp 3 in it? Soon even the slim will be useless.

Top box: Between both keyboards there is a 3 inches screen with the same resolution of the PSP (480x272 pixels) which guarantees a good gaming experience. Good as well for movies.

Lower right box: PSP functionalities were replicated in this architecture, making possible that all PSP games can be played. It won't have UMD slot, but it'll have M2 cards instead

Left box: Slide on one side and you'll find a joypad with analog stick for PSP controls. Slide to the other side and a number keyboard will show up enjoying the ergonomics of Sony Ericsson.

o god i hope not. people, not EVERYTHING shoul be paired together

-music+phone- awesome, saves money and space then having a ipod and phone clunking together in your pockets

-web browsing+phone- good for when your not near a comp

-gaming+phone- heres 2 bucks. go buy a rope, and kill yourself
