Definitely something with your battery then danos. Even if the stick were made incorrectly the pandora battery should still autopower on psp when you insert it with just the green light. Slim should work fine with hardmodded or softmodded 1200maH, phat psp original 1800mAH , or discontinued 2200mAH stamina batteries to be made into softmodded pandora batteries. Don't try to softmod your slim 1200mAH battery in the phat. Use the 1800mAH (or 1200mAH slim battery if you are lucky enough to find a TA-85v1 slim that can make pandora batteries) softmodded on your friends phat to softmod his battery and use it to hack yours.

1. Thomas213 what are the chances that my psp is unmoddable?
2. Are there any unmoddable GOW psps ?
3. If you put a good pandora battery in a ta-088v3 psp what happens?
The other day i put my battery in a madden psp and a black psp 3000 and nothing happened,no green light.

Black psp 3000 = TA90v2 is currently unhackable (Gripshift exploit only)mobo. Some blue madden psp have TA-88v3 unhackable mobo and will usually have 4.01 OFW installed when new. While other blue madden psp have the TA-88v2 hackable mobo with 3.95 OFW installed. These madden one's might have shipped in slightly different boxes. Never heard of a red GOW slim with Kratos on battery cover that wasn't hackable. If it had 3.95 OFW like mine it's a pretty good indicator that it has the TA-88v2 hackable mobo. Not sure about other parts of the world other than US. You should still get the green power light on even unhackable mobo and I don't think it can harm it either by trying. I still have yet to come across an unhackable psp other than the psp 3000 series over here. I have never come across a TA-88v3 mobo though I know we probably have some here in the States. I just purchased and modded a piano black slim that had AB01 for serial number on box and was a TA-88v2 mobo just like my red GOW slim and had OFW 3.95. Have you tried your friends battery yet as it still sounds like the battery your using is not properly autobooting slim psp into service mode.

did your friends have phats?if so this may be why,as that battery has problems working with most slims i heard.

zx-my guide works for all psps that are hackable! The fact that his psp bricked coulda just been a problem in that guys psp.mmses dont like errors in psps when they are trying to work!

I know it works I used yours before on both of my phats did a friends and I bricked it. I had to use a differant one. I have tried different ones. I have now done Both of my phats and my slim also have done a couple of friends I just like to do it and learn. Yours has been the easiest one to do so far. The other one is harder to do but does work.

Thomas213 my psp was bought at walmart in florida so it was bought in america just like yours.
One of the psps that it worked on was a daxter and the other was a piano black 2001.

One of my friends has a phat with 4.01m33 but he wont let me turn his battery to pandora because he is afraid i spoil his game.
Can a piano black 2001 with 5.00 m33-4 create pandora?

I can't explain why it worked on your friends slim psps before and not yours now, strange. I am 100% positive that this red GOW is hackable and has the TA-88v2 mobo. Unless its a first generation TA-85v1 slim mobo running cfw then no you can't softmod a pandora battery with a slim even if it is on cfw. Sony patched this ability on all later motherboards. You said that the mms worked on other people's psps so you should try to use a different pandora battery as you are not even getting the green power light. Use either a 1800maH or 2200mAH battery and also if u could even find one, a 1200mAH already pandorized battery would work also. If you used your friends psp to softmod one then there is a way with link below to save current battery serial # to file and restore it back after you have finished using it as a pandora service mode battery with serial # 0xfffffff. I use http://exophase.com/files/psp/pan3xxr3b.rar by Hellcat to pandorize and restore batteries and it has never failed me. It will work on 3X/4X kernel. Restoring the original battery serial number is preferable to generating a new battery serial # with whatever program you are using. The only other thing that I can think of is that some people reported that they have had trouble getting their slim psp to see the pandora battery. It took repeated attempts of inserting the pandora battery while holding trigger button (usually L trigger) with the AC power plugged in and mms in first that it finally worked.

i dont really know ,he charges a small fee to do it so he didnt let me see how he does it but i really think that it was my battery now.
i'm certain he used a daxter psp to create the pandora battery that he used on mine.
also when i backed up my id keys using id storage manager it told me that i had a ta-085 mobo and when think about it my psp actually came with 3.93 but as i read all those forums it made me think that i had seen 3.95 when i first put on my psp.I never heard on any of those forums about a gow psp came with 3.93 but because the idstorage manager said i had a ta-085 mobo i really believe that i saw 3.93
