Here's some good news for the PSP community, homebrew coders Xenogears and Becus25 has released Custom Firmware Enabler. This program will enable the functions of M33 CFW using ChickHen except for Recovery and Pops. It also works with TA-088v3 motherboards, but sadly it doesn't support the PSP 3000 yet.

To install the program:

* Download the file in the link below
* Copy the CFWEnabler folder to your ms0:/PSP/GAME/ directory.
* Start ChickHEN R2 (minimum) from the Photo Directory
* Run the app called "CFW Loader for ChickHEN". After you run the program, it will ask you to install the needed CFW modules to flash0, press circle and then "x" to start the CFW.

In all honesty I do not see the point of this..now I could not personally test so I do not know but if it does not add Recovery and Pops support what does it have?Homebrew?Already done with HEN and idk if it has ISO support or not.

It basically gives M33 to TA88v3 mobo (only) only its missing recovery menu, but has vsh, iso, etc.

Custom Firmware Enabler 1.0 for 5.03 ChickHen by Xenogears & Becus25

What is it?
It is a homebrew that enables custom firmware M33 functions, using ChickHen

What do i need?
- A PSP Slim (only works with Slim, independent of the motherboard model)
- Official firmware 5.03
- ChickHen R2 (at least R2)

Compatibility
- The functions are the same that are included in 5.00 M33. Everything works except:
- Recovery menu (It is planned, maybe a homebrew to configure custom firmware)
- Pops (PSX Games)

Installation:
-Copy the folder CFWEnabler to your PSP, in X:\PSP\GAME\
It must be like this: X:\PSP\GAME\CFWEnabler\EBOOT.PBP

Using
Run chickHEN from photo menu. Then run the homebrew named: "CFW Loader for ChickHEN"
The first time, you will need to install the custom firmware modules in the flash by pressing the Circle button (It dosent overwrite anything in flash0, just add modules. It is a safe process)
Press X to boot the custom firmware
You are now inside a custom firmware! \o/

FAQ:
- Can I load isos? - Yes, you can
- It dosent matter if my PSP slim has the damned board? - It doesn't matter!
- It works in PSP3000? - No, it doesn't work yet in this version.
- Can this brick my PSP? - It writes some files in flash0, but it doesn't overwrite files, so is not dangerous.
- When I turn off the PSP, I must repeat the process? - Yes, you need to repeat, but you dont have to flash the modules every time
- Is there another way to avoid this procedure everytime I turn on my PSP? - It can be avoided if a compatible IPL could be created and flashed, but this info will only be available when the preIPL will be available and the protection hacked.
- In the future, can these problems get fixed? - Might be, not sure
- Is it compatible with M33 SDK? - Yes, it is

Edit: Just try and not mess around with the Flash0. I've heard people bricking there 2000s because they got smart and played around with it.

Yeah should be called Piracy Enabler as far as i'm concerned, since i don't really see any other worthwhile additions since pops or plugins still don't work.

theres a plugin loader for the chikHEN r2, that been out for a while now
recovery it out, and the chance of bricking is high, its not worth the brick

The new update now supports POPS (PSX emulator), added new features and some bug fixes. Read more to see the list of changes:

To enable the POPS, you need to have a 5.00 original firmware and the latest PSARdumper
to find the needed PRX files. Start the PSARDUMPER and decrypt the fimware pressing "x". Afterwards copy the file pops.prx and popsman.prx from F0 folder to ms0: / PSP / GAME / CFWEnabler / Pops. Then enable the option "Enable Pops Support" from the CFWEnabler. After your done, you can delete the files you have just copied.
