Well honestly it's simply a matter of opinion and what type of gamer you are. I'm not a hardcore gamer and I'm not really a console gamer. I want something small that I can slip into my pocket and take out anytime, anywhere. I like to play in parts when I feel like it and not really commit to longer sitting, gaming periods. I feel that my PSP 1000 is too bulky to do that, so I don't. Or I throw it into a backpack and lug it around(I'm not the type to wear huge cargo pants often).

My other reason it that I have a PSP 1000. I'm ready for an upgrade. I've missed the lighter 2000 and the brighter 3000, 'cause it just wasn't enough to entice me. This MAY do it. I'll wait 'till I actually see and play with it to make up my mind. But so far I like it ENOUGH to consider buying it.

I don't really like UMDs, other than to collect. I just rip them anyway and put them on my hard drive and store all the ones I'm currently playing on my XMD. So no loss there.

As far as making it better; that's technically yet to be seen. All the details aren't out yet. Like why is it Bluetooth-ed? What other features/support does it have?

They say it has the same hardware, so I also want to see how well we can mod it.

Eh *shrugs* Maybe I'm just the Go's target player. What'ev

EDIT: Also looks like the Playstation site as the GO on it now: PlayStation.com
Also you can get Media Go and watch movies and tv shows from your PSP here: PlayStation.com

Guys really, it just debuted. Give it a chance. PSP2 will be out in another year or two I'm sure. At least wait till it hits stores, lol.

The new Media Go will most likely NOT work with CFW.... I hope that they update us w/ new CFW so we can use the new program.

Hmmm... it wants me to update my psp. I'm running 5.00 M33-6. Is there a CFW 5.50 yet? Lol.

No, he's already said there won't be a 5.50 M33. He's waiting for the next update due to the Standby glitch or something, I don't remember.

Haha, I agree, I think! I was thinking about it and was holding my 1000, then put my thumb next to the d-pad and imagined the Go. Its not a bad place, the thing is that with there less to hold and less PSP "meat" in your palms, (EDIT: Wow don't say ANYTHING! Pervs... ) that I think it what's going to make our muscles ache. Then again, we'll see when we get to play with them. None of the first-hands-on reviews I've read have mentioned sore hands. But then again they all get like 15 minutes with the gal

well im glad this is just another "update" and not actually the "PSP2," otherwise id be pissed seeing as id be missing out on yet another console from sony haha

but idk i see many possibilities for "PSPgo hacks"( if we can put aside the most definite unhackibility of it if thats even a word and the horrible design).

Yeah, good point, if this were the PSP2 and not an update, we'd REALLY be pissed!

After some more research i can say that as a military member the Go wouldn't really work for me.

MAIN reason being that on a deployment or away from home I would have no way of accessing new content. (On past deployments have been able to pick up UMD's or order them)

16gb internal storage just isn't alot when its the only way to play content on the PSP. I would have to literally buy a laptop before I ship out and download whatever I wanted to play off PSN (and hope that it doesn't crash or whatever...) just to be able to later transfer the content on/off the PSP.

It doesn't use Memory Stick Pro Duo... so all the 4,8, & 16GB sticks I already own are not compatible. I would have to purchase an entirely new format in order to expand the memory.
