Woah, so it wouldn't be able to use a photofast 5400?! That sucks, this thing is soo ugly and looks soo uncomfortable, I want a boycott of it.

given all the money i've invested in memory stick over the years... i will not be buying the Go.. that wouldn't make any sense |

As you say above though, it really doesn't make sense for any current PSP owners to upgrade. Especially not at the rip-off pricel. |

Yeah i'm sorry but the positioning of those controls are absolutely awful, the analogue stick particularly. |

Interesting. Sony's John Koller, Director of Hardware Marketing for Sony, was aked: what the company planned to do for their most loyal fanbase—those who'd amassed a large collection of UMDs but who'd also like to play these games on the Go. Taken from Gizmodo - Sony to Offer New Digital Copies Of Your Old UMD Games - Umd conversion His response: Quote: |
We're in the midst of putting together a good will program. We'll be unveiling that soon [because] we actually think there's a significant group that will be upgrading from the 1000...In the past, we've seen a 20-25% trade-up factor, and I assume that's going to be the case here. We've modeled that. So we're looking at a good-will program—a short term good-will program that would continue for years afterward."

I'm sorry but I see this whole project as a waste of sony's resources, with no new features save for some internal memory, what sony is trying to do here, is what the gba did, remember how many diff versions of the gba there were? the only difference here is that sony can't afford to do that |

Exactly, that is exactly what I was thinking Geek9, unfortunately this might end Sony down the tube, that and the poor sales of the PS3, if they don't release a slimmer, cheaper PS3 soon, the video gaming part of Sony is going down.

I don't think that, but I can see either the regular psp, or the pspgo dying by next year |

well they've said that their keeping both models, but personally I see the pspgo dying, some ppl might like it, but its price and the control pad I believe will drive away the more sensible consumers |
