Ya that's a very good point. They need to have a UMD slot for many reasons. It makes you wander what Sony is thinking sometimes. Another issue is the size of the memory stick. NOO, you can't just use your regular psp memory stick. You have to go out and buy a $50+ thumbtack size memory stick that you could easily lose and or break. Seriously you could probably swallow this micro memory stick and not even feel it go down. I don't know what sony was thinking. I will probably not buy one.

Funny thing is, theres no NEED to buy a psp go. My slim is a beautiful peice of work. I have big man hands and the last thing i want is a SMALLER console! crazy. It does nothing that my slim cant (or anything i would consider imortant)

I have 20+ mem cards and theres no way in hell i would give them all up to use a PSPGO, and 95% of people already have a UMD collection so they wouldnt swap either.

I think its just for the next generation of gamers to adopt.

I can guarantee that the PSP2 will be out in 2 years, making the psp look like a DS power wise, then the GO! will be the "Windows ME" of consoles hahah

That's another stupid thing, switching from MSPro to M2 cards, so anyone that might have been tempted by the UMDless device with several memory sticks already is instantly put off.

Silly choices all round for this device.

I bet that it will be pulled by next fall. I say this because it will fail during the Christmas season then they'll let it have another chance. If I lose I will put an embarrassing picture in my sig.

Your wrong, people will buy it, it's a PSP, Playstations always sell. The sliding screen is nice but a gimmick, it's hasn't bern done, so that means people wil buy it

heres my prediction:
on release date: people will flock to there local stores to purchase a "PSP Go"
after about 1-2 months 3 if sony is lucky, the "PSP GO" phenomenon will die in a horrific death, people will lose interest, stop buying, and sales will plummet...you know the rest

The PSP Go isn't what i'd spend my money on. $249 a copy.....I don't think so, knowing what all it doesn't do. Sony has figured out they can come up with some little piece of crap to put it on the market and call it a PSP, somebody will buy it.......But not me.

I'd like to see Sony build the iWISH. Come on Sony show some balls here.
