psp control pad

hey everyone!

i got a problem with my psp i update to CFW 3.30 OE-A and now i can't move the control pad to the left, i can move it up and down, but when i try to move it to the left it goes back to the right and stay to the far right. if i hold down the left control pad it move to the left and when i let go it goes back to the far right.

its one of the first psp that sony release with firwware 1.50.

anyone know how to fix this problem?

I doubt thats due to the CFW. Might be a technical problem. Try taking off the faceplate and fiddling around with the D-pad.

I say you do what kmr575 said, I may be something stuck making the Pad not work, Get a can of air and take apart the front of the PSP, clear out any crap.

If that doesn't work you may need a new pad.

I had this happen when i changed my psp face plate.

Turned out I didn't do one the screws up tight enough and the loose face plate was pushing against the d-pad.

Was an say fix, just tightened the screw up a bit, but if you haven't been fiddling around with the case then it's probably just dirt.

Way to go, bumping a 2 month old post. Not to mention the kid asking the question has two posts, I doubt he'll be checking his thread 2 months later for some new advice; considering he never comes on, nor posts. Think.

On a good note, what you said might very well be what he needs to hear, unfortunately he won't ever see your post, due to the fact, well it's 2 months old.

That's really not necessary to say. He was just providing you with some helpful advise.

Personally, I think he has an attractive girlfriend. And all that matters is what he thinks about her (and of course her own personal feelings) and I really don't think your insult is going to affect him.

This is my 2nd post; congratz to me... i came in this thread to read about "scams"... but it seems a bit off topic... making fun of each others "handles" and girlfriends... if i were to post a picture of my woman here, I am sure i would never hear the end of it. Maybe I'll go to the "homebrew" threads and post about different micro-brew beers I enjoy drinking
